My goal as a therapist is to build a warm, supportive therapeutic relationship with you so that I can best assist you in making positive changes in your life. I will help you in gaining insight, will introduce tools to better cope with life’s circumstances, and can assist you in reprocessing difficult life events that are contributing to your symptoms. I adjust my approach based on my client’s needs, but typically utilize interventions from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, as well as from EMDR.
Education and Training: -Master of Science in Psychology with an emphasis in Marital and Family Therapy, California Lutheran University -Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, California Lutheran University -Certified Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Diplomate from the Academy of Cognitive Therapy -Trained and Proficient in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy -Currently undergoing training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) with the EMDR Institute and will seek certification once training is completed
