About me:
Hi I’m Chris! I have been practicing therapy for nearly 5 years and have thoroughly enjoyed working with folks from all walks of life dealing with such things as stage-of-life stressors, anxiety, depression, trauma, etc. I have a rich clinical background working with various populations ranging anywhere from homeless veterans, children and families, addiction and recovery and almost everything in between. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Cal State – Northridge in 2013 and earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Phillips Graduate University in 2017. I believe that therapy is most effective when trust is established, and I utilize a Client-Centered approach to building the therapeutic alliance as I walk alongside you in your journey to your true and authentic self. I truly believe that you are the expert of your life and through open and honest conversations can we unlock the answers you already possess about how to make the appropriate changes in your life. As I also pull from the Brief Solution-Focused Therapy model, I utilize positivity and humor to identify strengths and cultivate doing more of what brings us joy and happiness and aiming to reduce engagement in activities and mindsets that bring us down. Change is inevitable, growth is optional!
