“I am not what happened to me. I am what I choose to become.” – Carl Jung
About Me
I am Diana Ramirez, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with specialized training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and inner child work. I work with adolescents and adults who appear high-functioning on the outside but feel emotionally overwhelmed, self-critical, or stuck on the inside.
Many of the clients I support struggle with perfectionism, people-pleasing, overthinking, and a strong inner critic, often rooted in trauma, early responsibility, attachment wounds, or unmet emotional needs. My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and integrative, drawing from CBT, DBT, TF-CBT, and inner child frameworks to help clients understand how past experiences continue to shape present patterns.
I believe healing is not about “fixing” yourself, but about learning to relate to yourself with safety, clarity, and compassion. My goal is to help clients slow down, build emotional regulation skills, process trauma at a tolerable pace, and reconnect with parts of themselves that learned to survive by being strong, capable, or perfect.
