About Me:
I was originally born and raised in Hawaii and obtained my master's degree in Social Work with an emphasis on mental and behavioral health in 2017 from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. During my time, I have had broad and diverse opportunities and experiences such as serving as a probation officer in working with high risk drug and sex offenders as well as those who struggle with addiction as a substance use therapist. I have also had experience as a Career Counselor for a private University in Seattle and most recently have worked and served at-promise youth and their families with severe mental and behavioral issues.
Therapeutic Approach:
My therapeutic style is highly strengths-based and client-centered. I believe that most of us have the answers necessary to answer our own life questions. My hope is to provide a safe, empathic, and yet challenging space where we are able to walk through these questions together. While my style would be described as eclectic, I often utilize a curious and sometimes straightforward approach with clients as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques and solutions-focused therapy techniques.
