About Me
I desire to create a space where clients can feel seen, heard and known. I am passionate about meeting people where they are and supporting them to reach their goals by embracing their strengths. We can often feel stuck and discouraged by our circumstances but I believe each individual has the capacity to grow.
While studying for my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy, I completed my traineeship in the school setting providing services to children and adolescents ranging from kindergarten to 12th grade. For the past year, I have worked for the William S. Hart Union High School District as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I provided therapy for junior high and high school students and their families.
Therapeutic Approach
My foundational therapeutic orientation is Humanistic, specifically Client-Centered Therapy. I believe in the uniqueness of each individual and taking a holistic approach to healing and growth. In sessions you can expect a warm, empathetic, accepting environment. In this context, we can work together to grow in self-discovery, self-acceptance and self-confidence. Depending on your goals and needs, I also utilize interventions from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy as well as mindfulness techniques.
