“Time doesn't heal. It's what you do with the time.” ― Edith Egar
My name is Maryflor Alegria-Zamora, I’m a bilingual Spanish speaking Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have provided psychotherapy for the past 9 years. I have worked with adults for the majority of my career. I believe in the importance of emphasizing client’s strengths in efforts to reach their goals. I am easy going and easy to speak to as my goal is to create a safe comfortable place to promote growth and wellbeing. I enjoy working with those experiencing life’s unexpected stressors, anxiety, depression, grief and trauma. I attended California State University, Dominguez Hills and graduated in 2016 with a Master’s in Social Work. After graduation I continued to work for Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health where I was able to expand my knowledge of therapeutic modalities and interventions with a diverse population. My focus is in working together in making difficult changes that promote overall wellbeing while feeling supported in every step of the way.
