WELCOME “The universe is not outside of you. Look inside yourself; everything that you want, you already are.” Rumi
THERAPEUTIC APPROACH My therapeutic style is eclectic. As every individual presents differently, I approach each session with an “adapt and adjust” mentality. That may mean processing through difficult emotions, learning skills to combat negative thoughts, or perhaps using art as a tool for challenging fears. I am well versed in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), though I am most passionate about expressive arts therapy (dance, music, art, drama, sand tray, etc.). Combining talk therapy and art activates both sides of the brain, which lends itself to a more comprehensive therapeutic experience. Overall, my goal is to create a safe space for clients to move forward and embrace the moment. As my ballroom dance instructor often tells me, “Standing still is not dancing. You have to move to dance.”
